OpenGains
In short: OpenGains collects no personal data, sends nothing to any server and integrates no third-party services. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting.
What data the app processes
Everything you enter yourself: workout plans, logged sets, exercises, gym machines and their settings, photos of machines, app settings. This data lives solely in a database file inside the app's private directory on your device.
There is no network access. The data does not leave your device unless you send it yourself (see “Backup and sharing”).

Captured and selected images stay on the device.
Backup and sharing
Under Settings → Backup the app writes a file containing your data and hands it to your system's share sheet. Where it goes is your decision: cloud, mail or a local folder. From that moment on, the privacy rules of that service apply, not those of this app.
The same is true for workout graphics: they are generated on the device and only go where you send them. “To Instagram Stories” opens the installed Instagram app via a deep link and hands over the image; OpenGains itself talks to no Meta server.
Deletion
Settings → Reset all data deletes everything. Uninstalling the app also removes all data, since nothing is stored off-device.
Children
OpenGains is not directed at children and collects no data, therefore none from children either.
